These pants were perfect for what I needed them for - Halloween costume pants. I also bought a bodysuit with a high collar. I bought both from the same manufacturer/seller to ensure they were the same black color (as colors can vary slightly between manufacturers). They fit and are exactly what I was looking for! The fact that there was a second pair of pants was a bonus. I've seen some negative reviews about the second pant but I don't agree with them. They're not as soft as the other pair, but still soft enough that I'm not afraid to wear them on my child. I also don't use fabric softener as my baby's skin is very sensitive. We use complimentary and clear laundry detergent and I just throw them in the dryer and they're still soft enough for him. The second pair is made from waffle material so it's not as soft but still fits us. I haven't noticed any significant shrinkage as I've only washed them twice but I can say the color has faded. a little quicker than I thought. I have washed them twice in a very mild detergent as mentioned above and the color is slightly lighter. Not bad, but it will probably fade more with more washes. I bought these specifically for a Halloween costume and they serve the purpose perfectly. I personally don't care if they fade badly because he's going to wear them a few more times anyway before letting them grow out. They run a bit small, so order 1 size larger than usual. My baby wears 12 month old clothes and the 18 month old fits him perfectly. Not big at all. They are nice and stretchy which is good for my chubby friend. We have a hard time with pants for him because he has such big hips. It's okay, and they'll still need it well after Halloween!
