Yes, this case protects your phone, but at the expense of ease of use. Camera: By far the biggest disadvantage. I don't know why some people are saying the camera isn't affected when clearly it is. Image quality is degraded (lack of sharpness) and you may even see a dark ring around the edges of the photo (especially the bottom of the frame) due to the opaque part around the camera lens portal in the body. This is very frustrating for me as I wanted to buy it for hiking and I would like to take photos when I am outdoors. I can't easily take the phone out of the case either, making it almost impossible to take photos of the phone. Audio: Minimizes the audio volume and microphone functions, making calls a little more difficult. There were a few calls where we couldn't hear each other and I had to take off my bag to make the call. Music playback via the phone's speakers is also noticeably reduced in volume. Touchscreen: The screen works well, but sometimes you notice a small gap between the glass and the screen protector, so when you touch the screen you can feel and hear them connect. Might be a little annoying if you pay attention. Phone Accessibility: This case is VERY difficult to remove. I can't take it apart with my fingers and I need a tool/coin to help with that. It's a little frustrating for me because sometimes I want to change the case to something sleeker and not something as bulky as this. In general. Somehow I regret this purchase. I wanted my phone screen to be protected and I believe this will help, but now I can't make full use of my phone for phone calls and camera.
