I wanted to make shelves out of pipes in our living room. After spending some time researching pipe and wood prices, I figured I'd save money by buying a few sets of these shelves. When the shelves arrived I was glad they were really good quality and easy to assemble. They come with mounts, but I would recommend better quality wall mounts than the ones supplied. Overall I like the look of these shelves. The wood is described as refurbished but it is a fairly cheap blond wood with stains. They still look good and are durable. The whistles are painted silver to give them a distressed look. I thought it actually looked a little vulgar, but I ended up with iron-colored spray paint, so I just inhaled it.
