My kitten is 10 months old and loves to play! We have been looking for a decent sized scratching post for him for a long time but gosh they are so expensive! I'm on a tight budget and when I stumbled across this article I was so excited. I won't lie I hate reading instructions so it took about two hours to assemble. If you read the instructions it will probably take less time. However, the scratching post is very wobbly. My cat is wild and jumps on him but has never fallen on him. But if you have a cat prone to paranoid trauma I would not recommend this product. It's very wobbly, like I said it didn't fall apart but if it did it would be fine and would keep playing when put back together, other cats aren't usually like that. The bars often come out of the support beams and you often have to reattach them, but it's not difficult. My cat loves this item and took to it immediately. It's cool and customizable, and super cheap! Give it a try if you have an adventurous cat who doesn't mind a wobbly scratching post.
