Review on Canon PowerShot Digital Wide Angle Recording by Ronald Lunn

Good for hiking, could be better

I've been hiking a lot lately, but I'm disappointed with my cell phone photos. This is a significant improvement in terms of photo quality. It looks like it's about on par with my friend's iPhone 6+, or maybe a little better. The Wi-Fi Send to Server feature is good, but quite slow, so not as useful as I was hoping. I wish it could sync directly to Google Photos or Dropbox instead of syncing to my computer through a server and then uploading it separately to Google Photos. A good picture quality is better than on a phone. Easier to stabilize than on a phone. Much better macro photography. good shots of mountains and allows better control of the background angle -Very light and compact Poor -More work transferring photos compared to a phone (fully automatic with Google Photo) -Sometimes difficult to focus it on the desired object -Switching on Macro and back is annoying. The panorama software works well but is quite clumsy. I wish the camera had a panorama mode that at least maintained a constant exposure. I would also like a little better image quality, but I understand it's difficult at this price/size.
