I originally bought these shelves to display some Lego sets my youngest son and I were building but they aren't deep enough to hold most sets so I decided to hang them in my office instead. to display what my kids call my "office toys" which includes some Funko Pops and other collectibles. They are great for storing toys. Nothing I have is heavy enough to cause problems, but I could see where something much heavier than what I'm using them for could cause problems. I wouldn't put books on it unless they were single issue comics or something. The pop boxes fit perfectly on the shelf and if you allow an overhang at the ends you can get 4 standard pop boxes on one shelf. However, these shelves have at least three major disadvantages: 1. The screw holes are located too low in relation to the inverted part of the shelf, so when screwing to the wall with a screwdriver or drill you are forced to go in at one angle and not right at the Screw. , which then creates problems with their reliable and consistent fit on the wall.2. The screw holes are the wrong size. On each of my shelves, the screw hole on the right side was too small for the screws that came with the units and with my drywall dowel screws, and had to be enlarged. The screw hole on the left was ok on all the shelves except one.3. There is no protective film on the shelves. So if you are struggling with the screw hole problem and the screw slip off, you can scratch the acrylic and ruin the appearance of the display. Which I did twice. They could be significantly improved by making the manufacturer aware of them.
