I used to have a heat sealer and it must have some weight. It was metal as opposed to that plastic sealant. It is too light and will slip during use, which may not be safe due to the heating element. The product was stuffed into a box that was too tight and the cord was pulled up and in the wrong place which was to become a problem later on. This item is overpriced. I would not recommend it.
