Review on AUTOSAVER88 Taillights for Chevy Silverado 1500/2500/3500 (1999-2006) & GMC Sierra 1500/2500/3500 (1999-2002) by Jeff Bridgewater

They do not come with sockets or wiring harness so OEM sockets MUST fit, they do not. Two of the four sockets were secure, the other two were so loose that they simply turned the stops over and immediately climbed out again. I also noticed that the timing was completely different than the OEM, causing the wiring to twist. What youthful delirium! it's not hard to get it right. Unsecured sockets were sorted out immediately, but I also noticed that the reverse lamp cavity didn't match the flatter cavity of the OEM lenses; They were designed to avoid the metal bracket crossing the taillight opening on my '05 fender. My guess is that those who had to install these lenses in place press the mount and wiring tightly against this mount. I quickly learned the lesson that cheap parts are not worth the money saved if you pay attention to the right fit and avoid problems later. I'm tired of repeating parts to make them fit!
