I thought it would be convenient to keep on my desk, but I didn't think it would work as well as it does now. I expected the handle to break after a few uses like the telescopic antenna always broke on old radios. It hasn't happened yet, and it has a use! Powerful enough that even a light swipe will kill them, unlike the larger old-style fly swatters that require a direct hit of considerable force to really kill. It's easier to be precise and reach hard-to-reach places. These things are great!
