Daughter got a Switch Lite for her 9th birthday and preferred to use my "big" switch with controller. Since this is her first gaming console, she needed a slightly smaller controller with the same familiar features. We let her choose which one and she fell in love with the kitty instantly! I was skeptical until it arrived and it was perfect - great size for her and works perfectly (and has a turbo feature which is good for signing up for online Pokémon raids!). This is the recommended controller for younger gamers or those who don't like bulky professional controllers.
