First I want to say. I did not receive this product for free in exchange for a review. I don't think you can trust Amazon reviews anymore! I chose Benefit They're Real Mascara and I really like it, but I had an Amazon gift card and was in dire need of mascara, so I decided to try it because it had great reviews. Here is my conclusion: The formula is simply great! It is so light that it is ideal for owners of ULTRA FINE EYELASHES. This allows you to apply mascara to shape longer lashes. You'll definitely get volume with Benefit They're Real, but also plenty of clumps. You have to crumple it up, comb the lumps and repeat x333 and it took forever. This is 3-4 coats for lengthening and 5-8 for volume. It looks much more natural and lasts much longer. I also brushed it over the tips of the false lashes to give it a more voluminous look without weighing it down. It's also a soldier against smearing, tearing and moisture. But it will flake off if you touch your eyes too hard. The mascara rinses off easily without leaving any permanent marks on the lashes and leaving no mascara on the skin. Overall I'd say Benefit adds volume but also clumps. This mascara lengthens and looks more natural, but does not give such volume. I like high volume so it's a draw for me personally, but this one is a bit cheaper (around $4-5) so I'll have to use it from now on!
