Review on LensCoat Llb4Xdc 4Xpandable Long Lens Bag (Digital Camo) by Michael Ringgold

Revainrating 3 out of 5

only suitable for special occasions

Very poor lens protection with camera mounted and not much in terms of shoulder straps or waist strap to carry the lens at any distance. It's also very expensive, costing $100 more than the LowePro Trekker 600 AW III Lens Backpack, which doesn't have these drawbacks. in front of them. In this situation, if the LensCoat Xpandable is trimmed down to 22", it will fit diagonally into a room that is only 16" x 16" x 9". I only experienced this when traveling to a remote island in Fiji flew or traveled to King Salmon with PenAir (no such problems with Alaska Airlines or Ravn).

Pros
  • Padded side design allows case to fold almost horizontally for storage or packing
Cons
  • Gotchas
