I should have read some of the last reviews but I had exactly the same problem. So I originally bought a slightly wrong model, spoke to their tech team who were friendly and made sure I was buying the correct model NOW. So I'm sure it was the right key. I read the instructions and watched the video, but it still didn't work. After a couple of tries where I wasn't even sure it activated all the keyfobs now (when you program a keyfob you have to program all the keyfobs you have, no matter if they are old or now) and you have to do it it constantly. So now I had a machine with non-working FOBS. So I had to spend several hours outside in the cold until a locksmith tried to fix it. It took several hours because the machine essentially blocks you (long wait, battery reset, multiple steps). When he finally got my old key fob working I figured I'd better keep the key fob, the key fob itself could NOT work. So that took me half a day and a lot of money. Clean clean if you don't want to go to a dealership just pay to have a locksmith come to you. Will it cost twice as much - it may seem so, but once you've locked your own car and now have to tow your car to the dealership or call an emergency mechanic you'll save time and money (note I tried calling the tech Team the second time I had a problem but they don't work on weekends but the first time they helped).
