Review on Grain Free Low Carbohydrate Seafood Kittens Variety by Malacia Hernandez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The Tiki Cat is ideal for diabetics.

One of my cats is diabetic and wild around the house which means he doesn't like contact. Once I tried to test his blood and after that he hid under my bed for three weeks. I decided not to terrorize him with insulin shots. One day I was up researching alternative treatments for diabetic cats and came across a study from the Aggie School that said cats, like people with diabetes, should be eating a higher protein diet. They examined 1,500 brands and styles of cat food and found that most varieties of tiki cats contained between 90% and 100% protein. Other information has shown that guaranteed pet food analyzes are inaccurate. It is best to read the first six ingredients. Pet food manufacturers are now adding substances like peas and pea starch and can claim that they are grain free. Peas are a different type of carb, and while they're not as bad as wheat products, they're mostly a bulking agent. I've found that if I feed my tiki cat in the morning, she doesn't ask for more food for most of the morning. Of course he wants the same things as other cats (more normal food), but I spoil him. I've found that he feels better and more active when he eats mostly Tikiket.
