Just stopped by today and spent about 40 minutes between soaking and first lathering/rinsing and simulating lathering in the palm of my hand. The knot began to unravel immediately after several rounds of this scenario. Looks like I got it for searches, not minutes. I also had to try lathering my face and even when new this brush lathered up really well. I can't wait for the brush to bloom with repeated use. This omega outperforms my badgers and even the one silver tip I had. Why? The (already) soft boar tips and medium shaft bristles feel great and finish my shaving soap quickly. Yes, there is sort of a kick-ass order, but it will wear off with time and use. I have a Razorock brush holder that can be hung upside down by the handle. Excellent brush - I have ordered a replacement brush in the same color. And I prefer the feel of Omega's boar bristles to Semog's bristles. The 10049's tips don't "scratch" or pierce my skin like tiny needles - they're much more comfortable to use than my Semogue brushes; and the backbone of Omega isn't that rigid either. It's just a comfortable brush that absorbs quickly and feels great on my skin (I have sensitive skin and stubbly barbed wire. This brush makes wet shaving that much more comfortable.
