After cataract surgery, I just needed readers. That was a challenge for bicycle riding, as I need to see the road ahead, but also be able to read cue sheets, maps, and phone alerts. These bifocals turned out to be a perfect solution. They provide a good level of tint for sun protection, and when I'm in the saddle, the road ahead can clearly be seen through the clear part of the lens. The bifocal section at the bottom provides enough magnification that I can easily read things down at handlebar level without changing my head position. The glasses are remarkably light and comfortable. They seem sturdy, but I bought two more pairs just to have some spares for when I go touring.
