I've had a bread basket for several months and at first I was very happy with it BUT I just cut the back of my hand badly on the smooth edge so I thought it would be best to report it so you don't hurt yourself. The problem is on the front edge of the lid under the handle. I grabbed a slice of bread and sliced myself instead. I like the box too much to throw away so my husband used a length of drip irrigation hose which he cut open and swiped over the entire sharp edge. Now there is no longer any risk of injury and the hose is invisible.
