Why Does the Cable Fail? I think they wear out. Anyway, the old cable connecting my 5TB hard drive to my PC's USB port just wouldn't cut it anymore. It always seemed to detach on the non-USB end of the connection, especially if you accidentally stumble across it. I ended up ordering a new cable. Wow, both ends fit perfectly and everything works great now.
