Review on 🐱 28-Inch PETMAKER Sisal Burlap Cat Scratching Post - Improved Model: 80-0247 by Adam Grady

Cat loves this scratching post, but the flimsy chipboard base broke within the first month rendering it useless without an amateur carpenter. After it broke, I took it apart and found that the base was actually two completely separate pieces of chipboard glued together. No hinge. No reinforcement structure. Tape only. The sole purpose is to fold the base in half to fit in a smaller box for shipping. If there was a solid piece of plywood to use as a base it would be ideal. I made a replacement 15.5" base out of a single piece of 1/2" OSB, heat glued the original fabric over my replacement base and it is sooooo much stronger than the original product. I would not recommend buying this product.
