I used this product for the first time on a hike last week - worked great! I bought this because I needed a book light that wasn't a bright white light that wouldn't lull me to sleep and also wouldn't disturb my family in our RV - as I'm an owl book reader who stays up late...than everyone else. This light has three lighting settings and I used different settings depending on other ambient light sources. This offered my nearly 50 year old eyes plenty of light to read (can no longer focus close in low light). I liked that the neck was very flexible and I could aim the light very directly to the page without it spilling out and bothering others. I pinned it to the back of the book - works like a charm. I really like the storage pouch as it is sturdy and protects my product when traveling but one suggestion for a future upgrade of this product - the zipper seemed noisy when I put it away late at night despite not waking anyone up. up and I have to fold the flashlight properly to fit in the charging adapter sleeve. Not sure what the elastic in the case is for as the light needs to roll up into the top half of the case and the base needs to be flat and the neck turned around for the charger to fit in the bottom half. Overall, would highly recommend this product. I will use it regularly at home too!
