Used this unit for 1.5 years. I didn’t want to write a bad review on ASUS, but today it boiled up, the last straw - this router turned into a brick. The symptoms appeared a long time ago - the firmware flew off for no apparent reason (when I went to it I saw slurred messages instead of the web interface), the Wi-Fi disappeared. It was treated for the time being by flashing. I suspect that the official firmware was simply hacked remotely, but to be honest, this does not make it any easier. For 8 the router should not be hacked once or twice, especially since it was used as a regular home access point. This is my third router from asus (there were also WL500W and RT-N16) in the last 6 years, and certainly the last one. Everyone had problems in one way or another. In general, if you want to have hemorrhoids for fabulous money - feel free to take an asus - they have big problems with reliability.
