I got tired of lugging around a much larger interchangeable lens DSLR with a small screen and found the H10 to be a very good replacement. 10x zoom is more than enough for my travels. In Alaska, I zoomed in on a bald eagle resting on a distant power pole. The large 3 inch screen allows me to write without glasses. The mode dial makes it easy for me to find the right shooting mode. There is virtually no frame lag and the multi-shot mode works like an automaton. Removing all the moves I can make and then blaming it on the camera. Shooting in twilight and at night resulted in very high quality images. problems? With a 4GB memory chip, I tend to overcharge, which takes my battery to the point of depletion. No problem, add an additional battery and off you go. Yes, you can read where other reviewers complain about what the H10 doesn't do. On the other hand, if you take the time to read the entire manual a few times, practice with the camera and learn from your mistakes, you'll find that the camera is fine. It's the cameraman who makes mistakes. Good job Sony!
