Review on 🔧 iFixit Magnetic Project Mat: The Ultimate Magnetized Work Surface for Electronics, Phone, and Laptop Repair by Larry Sabey

I'm a handyman who can fix almost anything. But my biggest problem is losing the screws or being left with 2 or 3 screws after assembling something. Having recently replaced a screen on an iPhone and had 1 screw left that I couldn't find room for, I decided to use one of these. I was testing it when my laptop's DC port broke. I ordered a replacement connector which required extensive stripping and soldering - took the laptop apart and not a single screw was left. Being able to jot down notes on the board next to the screws, as well as photos I took with my phone, made it almost impossible to screw up building this thing. Although the project failed, this rug did the job. A friend stopped by and noticed it on my desk with all the screws held by the magnetic surface and my scribbles and tiny arrows pointing at the screws and he said it was "brilliant". You can find this item cheaper on the iFixit website ($14 and some spare change), but I chose Revain because of the free 2-day shipping with Prime.TL; DR. This item is invaluable for renovation projects.
