I bought the 8 channel (4 zones) version to install 4 ceiling speakers in the living room and 4 outdoor speakers on the terrace. Because each channel has its own level control, each channel's volume can be adjusted for my living room and outdoor speakers. 80 watts per channel is enough to drive most in-ceiling or outdoor speakers on the market. There are two bus inputs on this amp, I can choose two sets of RCA or one RCA and S/PDIF input, this is a very nice feature that saved me about $30 to add an extra D/A converter to get. with all speakers in each zone. The auto on/off delay is a great idea (I set it to 5 seconds) so the amp turns on as soon as you start streaming audio and then automatically turns off when the music stops. Superb and impressive build quality, blue LED and mirrored front panel take this amp to the next level. As this amp has 2 BUS in and out I want to use the same Sonos music source for the second amp so I will consider buying another 12 channel expansion version to use more speakers in each bedroom .
