Installation wasn't too bad. We found that the previous owners had hardwired the fans and in most rooms the lights had to be turned on with a pull chain, making this setup ideal. Unfortunately we had to plug the cord in our master bedroom which rendered one of the light switches unusable. I leave the switch on in my room and keep the remote under my pillow so I can turn on the fan at night. This only proved to be a problem when the power went out one night and when it came back on the fan light woke me up. at 3am In some rooms I just use a switch to turn the lights on and off and mount the remotes with the brackets provided in case anyone wants to use the fan. The fan is so beautiful. The crystals are acrylic and must be cleaned before inserting the fan. Even though they're acrylic, they cast prisms on the walls and you'll never know they're not glass unless you touch them. Requires three bulbs e12 (candelabra).
