No separate power cord required, powered from HDMI port on TV

Video quality was good and unlike many other Lightning to HDMI adapters, the device is USB powered or AC adapter powered The HDMI port supplies power to the device. However, this means that if you want to charge your phone while watching HDMI videos, you will need to charge your phone wirelessly. Even on a device that removes HDCP, you cannot play HDCP-protected content.

Product didn’t work so I returned it. Just get the Apple adapter.
