Very thin. Overall a nice blanket but the weave is very loose, so much so you could stick your finger through it. If you're looking for something lightweight this is a great duvet but it's not the best quality. As for the softness, it's very rough from the packaging, but washing can help. I plan to wash anyway as the fabric has a slightly oily smell. Instead of fiddling with returns, I keep it in the car or use a picnic blanket. I'm surprised at how high the ratings are. I would happily pay more for a better quality blanket to use in my practice. Update: I just changed the rating to 1 star. I wrapped myself in a blanket and covered myself with fluff while working at the computer. I then washed it in cold water on a gentle cycle and the lint ruined my washer and dryer. It's still not soft and the loose fabric has bunched up and left the wrong shape. This blanket is of very poor quality. Definitely not for yoga. What a big disappointment.
