Review on Convenient & Compact: The Amazon Basics Portable Camping Chair by Robert Yates

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Lots of advantages, one disadvantage

Benefits: Chair Spacious seat and backrest (XL) DURABLE fabric, padding, tubing, hinges Folds quickly; simple, small profile when folded, drink holder keeps glass straight and vertical; no tip The padded side cover was roomy with a waterproof lining (which means it can be cleaned. Smart) The color (blue) was rich and beautiful to look at Wide legs to minimize sag The closed seat stood up on its own ( great for loading and unloading) Total weight was only 8 pounds. The older one, out of shape, made it, well, no problem. Stowage Bag: Large fabric cave (i.e. thicker than any kite fabric you will see). end, thick padding on top. (Here's the one that really caught my eye): a round, heavy "disc" sewn into the end of the foot. to keep your legs from breaking. strong chord; simple slide button. Cons: Damn uncomfortable. And that's the only downside. It's a single piece of fabric from the front edge of the seat base to the top edge of the backrest and THAT gave us severe back pain in about 40 minutes. Maybe the chair was too big. But I have serious hips and weigh 210 so you can judge if you try. I would advise you to try it. We had to send it back *snorts*. I want this chair to work. Such a great price for a foldable, lightweight, beautifully designed chair with so many goodies. But it just didn't work for us.

Pros
  • Robust steel frame for reliable longevity; collapsible, collapsible design; compact; folds flat to fit most trunks
Cons
  • Low maintenance
