This is the watch on watch

I bought this watch because I googled "cheap watches" and that was the first result that came up. I wasn't expecting much - I was about to start a job that was mostly outdoors and I needed a reliable way to tell the time. I didn't have the cash for anything really nicer and street-friendly yet and figured it would help me get my first paycheck before I collapse. Since I brought the watch with the idea of a replacement, I did not handle it carefully and went about my daily business as I pleased. Surprisingly, my first paycheck came (and went) without the watch breaking. I was like, hey, it'll break soon anyway, so I might as well wait for it to break and take full advantage of it. This damn thing took almost 2 years. I had no idea how he endured everything I've been through – extreme temperatures (from minus to 40+C), an industrial deep fryer (still has an ugly scar), exploding bags of chili, showers, pools, an unexpected animal in the barn. Liquids, dirt, snow, (accidentally) falling out of a moving car, being thrown off a cliff (for fun) and endless dirt and dust - the face is scratched like hell, with my initials engraved on the back, the strip is faded and smells a bit like fries, and there's a huge scratch on the rim where I almost died climbing it, but the face still glows and the hands still tell the time. Now when you revisit the page it seems that it is no longer there. a bit expensive. But I definitely got my money's worth and it still hasn't broken. If you want no frills and just a watch, this is for you.
