Review on 🐢 Enhance Your Dog's Comfort: Orthopedic Spare Replacement Covers for Memory Foam Dog Beds in Sizes Small to XXXL by Susan Cox

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Mixed version.: Cats

As you can see from the photo, our plush cover (left) didn't stand up to it at all. One was purchased on October 21, 2021. Today is November 30, 2021 and it has had holes for a few weeks. Today we had to get him out of our dog cage and throw him away because he got his claw tangled in one of the holes and was screaming in pain. I have really mixed feelings about these covers. Our dog (like most) loves cosiness. The cozy bedspread is certainly cheaper than replacing her orthopedic bed, but not if I have to keep buying it. We also had the faux fur option and although it lasted longer than plush, it fell like crazy and we still got holes in it too easily. On the plus side, the standard gray (we have an older model with orange trim) held up well under the plush and faux fur upholstery. We have had the same cover (and washed and dried many, many times) since April 2020 and it looks like new; no holes. It should also be noted that our dog is non-destructive and we trim his claws. However, the best guess is that the initial holes were caused by her nails poking through the plush cover when she entered her cage. Once the hole was there, she liked to poke around in it and it just grew. I think the bottom line is that if you are looking for durability and longevity, go for this brand's simple, non-plush cover and you will be very pleased with the quality. If plush is what you're after, maybe throw a blanket with your dog and skip this cover.
