Ordered this for my 11 year old daughter who is very picky about colour, looks etc. This is perfect for her and she loves it. They were supposed to be for camp but she hasn't taken them off since we got them. The dial is very, very crisp - much crisper than my much more expensive Casios. The buttons, as some have noted, are pretty solid, but she has no problem using them and you know exactly when they've been pressed. The functions are simple and relatively logical. If he survives camp and the pool we will be very lucky and we see no reason why he should not survive. The tape is made of hard plastic. She finds it comfortable and despite her very small hands she still had one more hole to use when she needed a tighter one. The size is perfect for her.
