This is a very convenient stand. I thought it was plastic but when it arrived I found it to be metal and the kickstand is just plastic. This is a very durable stand. The kickstand on the back has rubber dots where your device rests on it and a rubber base. Plus rubber at the bottom of the stand. On the side you press down is a button that locks the center kickstand. I would even say it's rebuilt which is great. There are no cheap things here. I prefer this over other methods because of the greater security. This stand sits on my desktop so I can stream video, view text, etc. The other thing is that when the stand is unfolded there is a large enough cutout that if you are using your phone on the side it will most likely help your phone work. if there is a ringtone or something else on the back of your phone. The stand comes in a nice thin box, which is actually where I keep it. Good product.
