I bought it a few months ago and have used it on several long trips of over 500 miles each. It serves to have a second trunk, which really maximizes packing (two toddlers and a dog require a lot of stuff for long trips). I think the design could have been a few inches closer to the car, but it doesn't really matter that much. I have a Tahoe and didn't even realize it was hitched from behind. It is foldable or can be easily removed or installed. A few things to keep in mind: 1) You will need a clutch pin/bolt, which costs a few bucks at any auto shop. 2) There aren't many reflectors so I cut them in half and attached to the back and sides intending to buy more) The hazard with shipping is someone not seeing when they turn into your lane and obviously too near cuts. When parking, you need to find a suitable place. 3) I bought an expandable bag that fits in a shopping cart. This allowed me to fold my stuff into a large rectangle and protect it from the weather. I think I paid $60 for a cargo bag and it comes with straps. I also bought a cargo net that can be pulled over an odd shaped cargo or cargo bag. Happy with all three! If I were an SUV seller, I would advise families on a budget to buy a mid-size SUV and purchase this product to meet their luggage needs during long vacations. It's a lot cheaper than buying a big SUV.
