Review on Jabra Optimized Wireless Headset Softphone by Charles Phillips

I purchased this wireless headset to use with the Dragon Naturally Speaking 12 Premium Edition. I wanted to have a little more freedom of movement in the office when dictating. Although this product is actually designed for VOIP or video conferencing, it is great for dictation. The accuracy when using this product with Dragon is better than any Bluetooth mic I've used and is about the same as using a USB mic or any other mic plugged directly into a computer. It has a nice software package that allows you to manage settings from the launch bar. The software also has the ability to generate a ringtone from the charging dock and headset for incoming calls. Just press the button on your headset to answer or end a call. The headset comes with two different carrying options. You can wear it over the ear or over the head. I prefer the overhead option. The headset earpiece is padded and very comfortable for long talks or dictation sessions. My only complaint about this product is that the device doesn't charge when the computer is off and the battery doesn't last all day (8 hour workday). All in all, it's a great choice for computer dictation and computer voice calls.
