Review on ๐Ÿช‘ 24-Inch Linon Natural Barstool: Enhance Your Space with a Stylish Round Seat by Jennifer Rogers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Sturdy stool but assembly was a challenge

Linon's 29 inch round seat bar stool is a well built solid wood stool. Good price and mine arrived quickly after ordering. Pros: Learn the design. All details are made of wood. Holes and pins are properly aligned. Good price. Cons: Instructions are sparse but adequate. covers. The screw holes are narrow and the instructions say not to use power tools. The Allen key is weak and short. It was almost impossible to turn the screws with an allen wrench. The wrench is too short to get enough leverage and too short to reach the bottom of the holes except when using the long end in the hole. This made turning the bolts impossible unless pliers or some other tool were used to increase the usefulness of the wrench. The key is a weak metal, like brass. The screws themselves are weak but adequate. An extra few cents for a decent sized wrench and heavier bolts would have been well spent. I ended up using a low level drill press with the original screws and carefully screwing them in. I also used wood glue to secure the chair joints. Only the top and bottom rails are threaded, and the middle rail slides freely through the holes. Using wood glue made the stool much stronger. Overall my rating is 2. Good design, fast delivery and reasonable price. If he had the correct Allen key and better screws I would give him an A.
