This machine cleans reasonably well but the waste holding tank design leaves a lot to be desired. I had a silver Steamvac vacuum and wanted to fix its dead motor but the motor cost up to 2/3 the cost of this unit. Declining Yields. I use a vacuum mat solution and it foams a lot. This can be useful for cleaning, but with that extra black screen over the float, the holding tank will fill up and the float will be up and running very quickly. IMHO the actual waste tank is pretty darn small with very little room for foam. I'll make my own solution that's less foamy and give it a try. I found a good one online that worked fine in my old vacuum. If you buy this, sew a black screen deep or get ready to make as many trips to the sink to empty the holding tank as an old man drinks beer with a small bladder.
