Overall a good budget 4K action camera with great features and good battery life. Good potential as a training chamber for a child. Limited use as a DVR. Pros: - Nice compact design with removable battery, mSD card slot and micro HDMI out - Buttons are intuitive and responsive even in the waterproof case - Good accessories including various mounts and a waterproof case. All mounts appear to be compatible with other action cameras including GoPros. The images are of acceptable quality. Video stabilization when used as a dashcam was decent. Wi-Fi capability makes it easy to quickly transfer to your phone or tablet via the Amcrest Go app. Ability to have multiple simultaneous download streams Cons: - Limited camera software settings. For example, I couldn't easily figure out how to sync the clock or update the camera's WiFi password (default 1234567890). Apparently I didn't have the ability to quickly view photos/videos directly on the camera's display. with 250MB video files where the app didn't complete the transfer (screenshot attached) on my new Samsung flagship smartphone - limited use as a dash cam as night photos and videos are too bright to even see the car number plate right in front record you. Traffic signs are clearly visible even at night in the rain. My other entry-level Akaso action camera was about $30 more but came with a spare battery and a handy dual-battery standalone charger.
