I was in dire need of a new beach bag as mine is many, many years old and ready for retirement. I hated parting with my old beach bag because it had served me so well for so many years, but I needed to find a replacement. So far this new bag (a trip to the beach) has worked really well. I even used it as an evening bag once. However, I have to say that since it is a bit see-through, I bought another small zippered cosmetic bag to put my phone, hotel key, money and various small things in it. Since this bag is transparent and quite large, I included a small pocket for my personal items so they don't get mixed up. Hope that helps.
