I found it much easier to fall asleep with this white noise mode on this sleep sound device. I was looking for a device to simulate the sound of a fan when it gets so hot in summer that I turn on the air conditioner and this sound machine was perfect for me. I usually have some background noise when I'm in bed with the window open year-round, and that usually includes the sounds of cars on the street in the distance or a fan next to me, so I'm very used to it, that way to fall asleep. . Not only does this device perfectly mimic white noise, which is my favorite, but it also has four other soothing sounds to help me fall asleep. My next favorite sound is the sound of fire, which reminds me of a campfire and works really well with this speaker's lighting feature. Part of the lamp emits light in a very unique way that reminds me of a candle because it comes and goes and has a transparent shell that reflects the light very nicely.
