I've read previous reviews that didn't use a straw or that it didn't add flavor or that it leaked. I haven't had any of these problems. To solve the flavor and leakage issues, I had a leak when I first screwed on the top, but I found I had too much fruit on the bottom, and once I removed some it was fine . Do not fill completely with fruit. Also do as described and after putting the fruit on the bottom, shake it and let it stand for about 5 minutes so that the fruity flavor penetrates into the water. Every time I've made it, it's been seasoned perfectly for me. I didn't have any problems cleaning it either. If you take out the fruit and wash it, it will be very clean. I used pomegranate and blueberries as well as kiwi and strawberries and the flavor was just perfect.
