I am very happy with this purchase. It works as advertised. After installing the software, it only took me a few minutes to figure out how to set up the audio/video capture devices in the app, and then I started capturing old videotapes. You must have your video play at the normal recording time, but that's to be expected. After recording, you can use simple software to crop and format the video into any file or shape, e.g. mp4 or dvd. The editing software is efficient but not the best. I use Windows Photo for editing beyond the original crop and format. But this simple and cheap device has helped me save dozens of old home videos from time and damage.
