Review on DZ10 Damascus Resistance Hydrofil Thinsulate by Tom Reasons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good gloves, but certainly not winter.

As someone who doesn't normally write product reviews, I felt compelled to write about this purchase. I have to say that I wasn't as impressed as I expected with these ARTIX™ Damascus cut resistant winter gloves with Kevlar, hydrophilicity and Damascus insulation and wish I had wasted my money on a product that (in my experience) was not the right thing was advertised. I have made numerous purchases of cut resistant Damascus Kevlar lined gloves over the past few years and have found them to be exactly as advertised. Last fall, with the reality that winter was fast approaching, I needed a pair of good winter weights and cut-resistant gloves. I turned again to Damascus to meet the need. I was thrilled when I came across these Damascus "Winter" weight gloves and immediately placed my order. The ordering process went smoothly and the gloves were delivered within a few days. I was all the happier when I opened the package and put on my new gloves and found that they really "fitted like a glove". They were comfortable and I found my dexterity excellent. I could even pick up a coin off a smooth tabletop while putting it down. An action I could only dream of with other winter gloves I had. The quality of the glove was what I had come to expect from my previous damask glove purchases and I couldn't wait to hit the cold winter roads in my new Winter. Gloves, because the older I get, the less I can handle those cold Iowa winters. However, upon disembarking from my cruiser on the first cold winter morning, I was shocked and EXTREMELY disappointed to find that the cold winter wind was really blowing. through my cut-resistant "winter" gloves as if they weren't even on my hands. I found that the longer I left my hands in the cold, the colder and colder my hand got to the point where all I could do was try to keep my hands warm by keeping them in my coat pockets. I was shocked and couldn't believe what was happening. With warm hands in my trouser pockets, I tasted the cold again and again. Every time I took my hands out of the warmth and comfort of my coat pockets, they lost all warmth almost immediately and my hands began to cool down. And I'm not talking about sub-zero temperatures here; it was only the mid 30's with winds of 20-30 mph. "Winter gloves. Hahaha. not even close. Unfortunately my new DAMASCUS winter gloves spent the rest of the winter on the dressing room floor and I was forced to revert to an old pair of large ones to return to baggy gloves useless for nothing more than warming my hands. Well if your life doesn't depend on your ability to use your hands in the cold. If you're looking for a good pair of gloves, buy these. If If you're looking for a good pair of gloves that will keep your hands WARM, don't waste your time or money.
