While I prefer gun-shaped blocks, this block is thin enough to hold comfortably and the buttons are in an easy-to-access spot. The light is extremely strong and can damage your eyes with continued direct exposure. So never look directly into the light, and cheap glasses are included. The light is activated by sensors on the front of the device. With very slow movement I was able to capture the light (see photo). But the duration of the light is very short. Run the tool over the area where you want to remove hair, making sure to uncover all the hair follicles in that area. You won't see instant results. The light signals that your hair has stopped growing, but it takes multiple treatments over several weeks before you see results. Eventually, you should see significant hair reduction in the treated areas. In the box you get a tool, power cord, eye protection goggles, cheap disposable razor and instructions. This tool is rated for approximately 996,000 flashes. (So it should probably take longer than your interest in it). One thing you don't get with this tool are attachments that can make it easier to work on specific areas of the body. Some IPL removal tools contain them. The actual value of such tools is debatable, and the core functionality (which is a bright flash of light) doesn't change. This is a mid-range IPL device and does not include any lightweight attachments for anything other than hair removal. , and does not include chilling "ice". However, it should be suitable for hair removal. This is one of the cheapest IPL devices at Revain, and if you can handle the shape and lack of frills, this could be a good entry-level device for those in the hair removal industry. .
