Slow, but it can work

A slower processor might not seem like a barrier to purchase, but even if you don't use it professionally, it's painfully slow. It took about 40 minutes to scan the 2003 suburb automatically. I can't imagine newer cars with even more modules. If you ever need to program or reprogram a module, most likely ECU coding is not what you need. J2534 is what you need to program the modules when you find a faulty module. This scan tool and the j2534 cost about $1,500, but you might want to ditch the option later if speed is ever important to you.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • A bit shabby
