I ordered this splint for my right hand whilst recovering from a broken wrist. It's actually much more comfortable than the splint my podiatrist gave me. I have his permission to use this tire. This splint fits my right hand and wrist perfectly. There are two Velcro straps to secure the thumb area and two Velcro straps to secure the wrist. Your hand and wrist simply slide in and out of this splint. It does not open and lies flat. The cords on the outside are elastic so they adjust to the size of your wrist. This splint is 9 inches long from the top of the thumb to the end of the wrist. Solid metal supports are built into the structure of the hoop on the sides and inside of the palm. This is very good value for money. for this tire. I would recommend it to others but would advise getting your doctor's approval if you are under medical supervision for your wrist. 5 Stars.
