When it arrived it was well packaged and came in a nice gift box. When I opened it I was still impressed with the quality. for the whole life. This is great as you can purchase replacement iron bars that simply screw into the main body. The ceramic beater in combination with a high-quality ferro rod creates fantastic sparks. it was definitely new when I was in the woods. Before deciding to print a review I tested the Ferrofire Survival xxl and found that there is enough space around the ferro rod to store tinder and thick wooden sticks which are released into a tube for storage. I put the fishing set in the storage tube and was able to tie the line to the lanyard ring and then use the main body as a hand reel to wind up the line when fishing. I also put a large candle in a storage tube when it gets dark in the woods. I go to the forest every day, and each time I carry different things in it, and I also carry more tinder. Every part of the Ferrofire Survival XXL remained stable even under heavy use. and o-rings keep my tinder dry.
