I was very disappointed when I received the item. To me it looks more beige/champagne and even pale orange than gold. Just look at the first picture where I put my husband's gold cufflinks on for comparison and they certainly don't match. Of course the color changes depending on the lighting, so the second image is paler (with white light) and actually corresponds to the original image; however, the "gold" I envisioned is still a long way off. My husband ordered it because the tie actually looked gold on his phone. iphone 5S (. well, maybe it's his phone's fault, not the seller's.). However, I would advise anyone who wants a "gold" color to get at least 2 different ones, just in case.
