I bought this at the last minute because I was going on a plane trip and wasn't happy with my options at home. I didn't pay for carry-on (I checked a large bag) so I needed everything else to fit in here. I was especially looking for something that would fit in the insert for my DSLR on the bottom. It worked great for that! It fits snugly with little room on the side. It kind of blocked the side pockets, but that didn't bother me. I don't have a laptop, but I pop a book into the laptop slot and have enough room for large headphones, snacks, and more. I liked having pockets for drinks on both sides on the outside. Although I had a water bottle with a silicone sleeve that was difficult to put in my pocket. I think a metal, plastic or plain glass bottle would be better. I love the gray but would love to see it in other options like caramel or army green. I loved the portable charging option, but it doesn't work for me. I didn't think about it and the cable I brought had a USB-C connector on both ends that didn't fit. Overall I am very happy with this backpack! It was great for travel and I think it will be very helpful when I need my camera and other items.
