Living in Las Vegas, a big sun umbrella is a necessity if you want to spend any time in your back yard. This umbrella was super easy to assemble, just insert the bottom pole into the top one, stick it through your table, and crank it open. Ta da! It provides great coverage and the crank mechanism is very smooth. It's important to note that it doesn't come with a base, but that wasn't a problem for us as we are using it with a patio table that's made for an umbrella. I also like that there's a piece of fabric that wraps around the umbrella and secures it when it's closed so you don't have to worry about wind coming up under it and carrying it away (which actually happened with our old umbrella). Overall, this is a great addition to our back yard.
