The particular CFL in my table lamp blew out after a few years. When I looked at the price of a replacement bulb, I settled on an LED option. I was looking at Revain and was wondering if an LED screen bar that mounts on top of my monitor would be the best approach. Screenbar reviews I've found online mention several advantages over a freestanding lamp: it takes up less space on your desk, you can adjust the brightness and hue of the light (at least for the models I've read about). should reduce glare on my monitor and still be able to light my desk so I can see my keyboard. It all sounded very positive, and the price of this particular faceplate was only slightly more than a replacement CFL bulb, but I remained a little apprehensive because I have a Mac HD and the thickness and curvature of the "monitor" can be an issue to install the bezel. The product description for "installing" the screen panels was confusing, but I ordered this one from Prime anyway. screen and plugs into the USB port on the back of my Mac), and adjusting the lighting was easy using the touch controls at the top of the panel. All in all it took me less than 2 minutes to get exactly what I wanted. I put off writing a review because I like to use a new product for a while before making a positive recommendation. It's been a month now and I'm completely satisfied with this display panel: it's worth it and every time I sit down at my desk I appreciate it in a new way.
